YELLO Hotels Is Set To Be The Space For Creative Minds

Jakarta, March 2019 - YELLO Hotels kicks off 2019 with a series of creative events during the solo exhibition of Zikry Rediansyah, All You Need is Love, to celebrate Valentine’s day in YELLO Hotel Harmoni Jakarta from February 14 to March 6.

All You Need Is Love is only the beginning as others will follow in other cities where YELLO Hotels located, namely Surabaya and Bandung by end of 2019. It is aligned with YELLO Hotels’ mission to combine hotel space with its facilities and services to fulfill the working, playing, learning, and resting needs of creators. Enabling artists, art community and art enthusiasts to come together in a place and mutually benefit and contribute to a new creative ecosystem.

Zikry, who performs live painting during the opening reception in YELLO Hotel Harmoni on Feb. 14, exhibits his artworks of the naïve art genre, offering a childlike perspective that creates the illusion that objects are floating. He also showcases his works in the form of stickers, dictionary fanzine, and bags, among others.

The opening event then follows by a dedicated workshop on February 16 in collaboration with TAUZIA Equal Chance, a Corporate Social Responsibility program of TAUZIA Hotels aiming to bring education to underprivileged children to provide better future. This creative workshop allows around 15 children to express themselves by painting on tote bags that Zikry eventually blends with his signature touch. Proceeds from tote bags sold will go to TAUZIA Equal Chance.

The closing event at the end of the series on March 6 is marked with another creative workshop to media and social media influencers. Zikry shares his tips and encourages participants to dig in their creative side and explore the urban art world. A tasting session of the new menu of Wok’n’Tok, the 24/7 restaurant of YELLO Hotels, for the media and social media influencers concluded the 3-weeks long festivities.
